Branding our blog visually

For our title we used Photoshop. We decided to go with the font 'RoadCrew" in bold as it stood out to us the best. We liked the urban edge that it had, we feel as though it blends well with our urban-based youth drama. The idea of using he contrasting colours black and white reflects the simplicity of our designs and also the colours of each of our costumes. Hence keeping a sense of continuity.

We also changed the complete layout of the blog to match our title. This gave our blog a more professional look and made it look somewhat cleaner. The new layout also reflects our film and its ideas as the group of girls who commit the crime are mostly dressed in black.

Kim and Lady Pearl's second feedback

14 borderline 15 out of 20

  1. Very good sense research
  2. Working hard and improved our ideas
  3. blog layout was better now that it had been changed
  4. Captured the identity of our characters now that we sorted out our main characters personal item.

Blogging Feedback

You have a solid, well kept blog though what I'd like to see emerge now is some more personal contributions. I'd like to see a post-shoot diary record of how things have gone with photos and comments, and an account of how this affects future planning. You can blog any ideas and insights that you have about the filming process and you should do the same thing for your editing.
15/B on strength of organisation.'

I will take on board this advice from Dan, and start adding personal posts from filming and editing days. The group and I have already started with a shoot diary, which is in the process of editing, hopefully soon up within the next day.  We have also started blogging posts on problems which ocurred whilst filming and how to over come this when we film again during the holiday.

Film Summary- Day 1

Sunday 1st Feburary 2015

We all made our way to Brenchley Gardens (Chanise's House). We gathered all our equipment, got into our costumes and got the P12 to Peckham Rye Station. We set up the tripod and camera ready to film the first scene. For the first scene the first shot we filmed was a medium shot were the main character is coming out of the station. we also combined a close up while she was walking past the market. Then after we filmed a few extra shots like walking up and down, close up of walking etc. We got the bus back the Chanise's house which was convenient because we need a bus to perform a bus scene. with this scene we had that main character write in her diary to protray that she is a responsible college student hoping to go to universtiy. We did start to film the last scene but it was too dark to film. to improve we are going to film again on Wednesday to redo the last scene and some other shots that were not good enough. Also we would need to bring a dedo light instead of a top light as we tried to film with the top light and it was not bright enough.
