Garage band - foley sounds

Garage Band - Foley sounds

For our film, we were thinking of having foley sounds such as police sirens, footsteps and a heartbeat. The police siren is going to be used for the end of our film opening, where police is called to the scene by someone watching. Since we're unable to have actual police sirens, the foley sound of the police siren would be essential to our film. Also, we wanted to have the heartbeat to add a dramatic effect, and to add tension. The footsteps are going to be used to imitate the sound of Kims walking.

Hybrid Movies - Our Research

A cross-genre (or hybrid genre) is a genre in fiction that blends themes and elements from two or more different genres.

In our case, we looked at films that were mixed with Sci-fi as our main influence:
Attack the block was a hybrid of Action, Comedy and Sci-Fi.
We found other films such as:

- Change the name of the film- Mugged is too literal

- Need a key prop for the main character to give more information about them

- the gang needs to be  anonymous- wear all black

- Film in the daytime to show the transition of light to dark

   - make it realistic/believable add emotion to the character

Blog feedback - Shazna & Chanise

For our blogging tasks, Dan thought our work on audience groups could have some summaries instead of just being screenshots but beyond this, he thought it was really very good and gave us 15/20, which is B grade. He also said that we've all worked as a group, and it'd be good to get some individual posts up, and there are a couple of them in the checklist. So ensure that we don't leave these out.
