Genres and Sub-Genres

Genre means category of type. this is useful because it helps to organise different films. also it helps audiences to find out what the film might be about depending on the type of genre. For example it the genre was a romance then they will instantly know that the film will be about romance. however, sub-genres focuses on different aspects of a film which helps to appeal to different teenagers. for example two sub-genres like youth drama; focuses on the social dilemmas faced by the main character and high school dramas; focuses on the socialisation of teens and young adults by institutions like school or college. we will also expect the title sequence to be different between the two sub-genres; one will have more titles and the other will have less titles.
